Are there any rent control buildings left in NYC? - buildings for rent
I spoke with a friend whose mother lived on the Lower East Side, in the same apartment since 1962! I could not imagine, so long in an apartment. She said that her mother has rent control. I thought rent control was a thing of the past. There is still, to rent control or BS'ing me?

There, in New York is not what they call the law 80/20 split, even in new developments .. As a sponsor must be 20% of its capacity for low-income tenants. The reason for this is that i bought a whole block and control block within the incomes of low-income tenants. City gives you certain tax advantages when you provide that rent 20% less than if these buildings were never demolished, not the building code. In terms of rent-controlled buildings and there are things that the owner is no rent control and because the majority of the building is not yet clear are these things at the age of these buildings. even if that person dies for the neighborhoods are zones for car modifications. There are several places to rent control, but people are dying to control them and substantial rent increases. Often these homes are sent to family members
No, there remain few. But it would be hard to get now when for years no longer had.
